Somersaults and Smiles

This week in gymnastics the focus was somersaults. Addison did great! She absolutely loves doing somersaults now. She giggled every single time Kevin or I would help her do one. We also worked on balance, jumping, and pikes. Addison definitely has part monkey in her. I think she inherited that from her father. After all, he and his twin Keith could contort themselves, at age twelve-might I add, to fit into a corner bread box. They also did the occasional tree climbing. She could hang from the bar by herself. I mean actually hold her own weight. I was very impressed. Same as last week at the end the kids got hand and feet stamps and we sang the good-bye song. Addison really likes the good-bye song mostly because they beat on the floor while laying on their bellies. Hooray to another fantastic week in gym class. We are that much closer to Addison's Olympic gold medal!
