Had to Have Some Hayden!

So on Wednesday, Addison and I decided enough is enough... We needed some Hayden in our lives! We went to De De and Paw Paw's house to see him. Unfortunately, when we arrived he was sleeping. Addison had fun playing blocks with Paw Paw while waiting for him. Paw Paw would build block towers and Addison would knock them down. Finally, after about 20 minutes Hayden woke up. We could hear De De prepping Hayden over the monitor about Addison visiting. She was showing him Addison's picture and telling him that his cousin was here to play.
When Hayden came downstairs he was all smiles. I mean he was grinning from ear to ear! I could have eaten him, he was just to darn cute. Addison was so excited to see him she immediately went over and started saying "hi" in his face. She has a habit of getting really close to other kids and touching them. Which very seldom makes them happy. At least she is friendly.
It took them awhile to warm up to each other but before you knew it he was giving her a push on the firetruck. They had lunch together- De De spoiled them with a variety of foods. They ate mashed potatoes, grilled cheese, peaches, turkey spam and milk. Obviously neither of them could eat that much but it was fun watching them try. Hayden was cracking me up. He was in his playhouse trying to pull a toy in through the window and it wouldn't fit. He just kept grunting and trying to make it fit. I love watching the two of them play together. It reminds me of the closeness I felt and still feel for my cousins. I loved growing up in a huge family. Family parties were the best. Having my parents, grandparents, aunts uncles and tons of cousins all under one roof was the greatest feeling. I want Addison to grow up close with her cousins. Pretty soon she will have another cousin- baby Taylor or Blake Scott will be here before we know it!
Thanks Hayden for making our day and our lives that much brighter! We love you so much and enjoy watching you grow and learn. I promise to make our visits more regular. And I will work on teaching Addison all about personal space. I would also like to thank God for family. He has given us so much. We truly are thankful for all of your wonderful blessings.
