What's New with Addi-Pooh!

I walked into Addison's room to find her in her crib like this. She loves this Pooh doll Grandma and Poppie brought back from Disney for her. I'm looking for another Pooh in case anything ever happens to this one. She has to have Pooh to sleep! She loves snuggle with him and rub him. He is made from this really soft material and she just rubs him and rubs him until she falls asleep. It cracks me up because my mom does the same thing. Ever since I was little I can remember her rubbing her comforter while laying in bed. I guess she is Grandma's little clone!
My mom can get her to do or say pretty much anything. Mom actually got her to say "Jack-ie". I would not have believed it if I didn't hear it myself. Kevin and I were counting the words she can say now and she has like 25 words she can say. She is like a little sponge. We noticed her starting to shake her head yes. It is so hilarious. She really has to try hard and it takes such effort for her to shake her head yes. She loves to dance and shake it.
We visited with my brother, heather and Aidan this weekend and Addison was dancing to the radio in her car seat. She is such a happy little girl. She knows so much. I am bursting with pride and joy each day for her. I went to exercise at Southeast last week with my friend and left Addison in the daycare there and I was so afraid she would be crying and missing me so much. When I returned they said she did great! I always worry and most of the time for nothing.
We went on a long hike this weekend and Addison did most of the hike by herself. She didn't want to be held. She walked hand and hand with daddy and grandma. We actually saw a snake on trail and my sister in law freaked out. The snake looked like an over grown worm. It was pretty funny. Aunt Holly went on the trip with us. It was fun having her with us. She sat in the back and kept Addison busy with food, snacks, videos, and toys. She is so great with kids. We are so blessed to have great friends that truly love Addison.
It was so good to see my nephew Aidan. He is growing bigger by the day. He is definitely all boy. He loved to wrestle and play with uncle Kevin! Holly gave him horsey rides and played toys with him. He can say so many words. He was so sweet he just gave me the biggest hug and kiss as soon as he saw me. They dress him so darn cute. He has the cutest pair of cowboy boots just like his Papa. He just like Addison, loves to watch Grandma blow bubbles with gum. I think Addison is still too little to play with Adian but most likely the next time we get together they can run and play together.

Reception Fun!

Well, this past weekend was a blast. On Saturday my cousin Hillary and friend John had a wedding reception. They were recently married in Decmeber in Mexico. Due to money and work schedules we were unable to attend.
Addison had a blast at the party. She was a little social butterfly. I knew she would love the music but I had no idea how much. She really enjoyed shaking it on the dance floor with her cousin and family members. She was definately the life of the party and a big hit with our and John's family.
I was pretty nervous about giving a speech. Originally my cousin asked me to be her maid of honor but when the wedding changed locations so did her maid of honor. Her cousin Katie took on the responsibility of helping Hillary with all the details of her wedding planning. Hillary included me in the fun too. I helped with the dress, bachlorette party, bridal shower decorating ,but most of all I helped bring those two crazy kids together!
I actually did pretty good with the speech. Everyone laughed at my jokes and I didn't pass out. I'm glad it is over with. I never have enjoyed public speaking.
The reception was great. It was nice to get out of the house after being stuck indoors for days due to snow. The day started off good too. I got Starbucks coffee-with my gift card from my hubby, I got my hair "did" with Hillary and we got manicures and pedicures. It was a very fun day. I would love to say it was relaxing but I was pretty uptight about the speech. I wish sometime I wasn't so high strung about things, but I guess I come by that natural.
