This past Saturday Kevin, Addison, and I went to the Louisville Science Center. I hadn't been there in a few years and thought it would be fun to spend some family time there. I didn't really know how kid friendly it was, so we waiting until after 5 o'clock (when prices drop from $12 to $5. Addison being age one, was free.) to go. As soon as we entered the center there was a huge area strictly for kids. The whole area was set up like a small town. There were several vehicles the kids could play in. Addison drove the bus and made the wheel go round and round all through the town. We counted 5,4,3,2,1, and blasted off to the moon-Addison is quite possibly the first toddler on the moon. She wasn't very fond of the astronaut helmet. We all played together in the little submarine. We went shopping at the grocery store. The whole town was so adorable and very fun. Addison's most favorite part was the water center. There was a huge water area set up with lots of water toys. They had several different size waterproof jackets to keep the kids from getting their clothes soaked. Addison wore a yellow jacket. She looked like a miniature Gordon's fisherman from the fish stick box. She was in awe over the water toys and all the running water. She splashed and played for a good ten minutes she even tried to take a few sips (yuck). Then we sanitized our selves and left the kiddy area. The rest of the exhibits were no where near as entertaining as the first for Addison. The only other exhibit she really enjoyed was the sea life exhibit. There was an aquarium with several different types of fish. She stood in front of the tank signing and saying "fish". We walked around for a while longer and then Addison had had her fill. We changed her into her jammies and ventured home. It was a nice day spent just the three of us.
