I wish I could have gotten this on video but unfortunately it was during Addison's bedtime routine. She has been a bit fussy lately I think (and every time I say this nothing happens) she is getting more teeth. Poor thing is 15 months old and only has two little chompers. Well, she was fussy and acting out of character so I decided to rock her to settle her down for a good nights rest. Of course, I didn't mind rocking her because now she is older I hardly ever get to hold her like a baby, yet alone rock her. It was so nice just to hold her in my arms all warm and snugly. She would lay her head on my shoulder and I would think she was fast asleep and then all of the sudden her head would pop up and she would laugh. It was almost like she was saying"ha ha momma I tricked you, I'm not asleep." Well after a few times of doing this she began to notice her shadow on the wall. She started to squeal with glee and tell her shadow "hi" repeatedly. I could not help but laugh which always triggers her to keep doing whatever it is that is making me laugh. She proceeds to dance around and bounce up and down all the while keeping her eyes on her new found friend (aka her shadow). She noticed her shadow in the kitchen a few weeks ago but didn't react to it in quite the same manner.
While visiting my brother last weekend, Addison saw her reflection the in hotel mirror and bent over and kissed herself. She then said "kiss her". It is so fun to watch her make all sorts of new friends even if it is no one other then herself. This is my favorite stage by far. She keeps learning and discovering new things everyday. She never ceases to amaze me. Everyday her little personality is beginning to come out. I love that little girl so much and have God to thank. We are so very blessed.
