And It Breaks My Heart..... to listen to this song over and over again

Oh my goodness! Addison is obsessed with a song and it is making me crazy! You are probably thinking it is a kid song but it isn't. When we first moved into my Aunt and Uncle's house I wanted to listen to music one morning so I pushed play on the CD player. That was my first mistake! The first song on the CD is called Fidelity by Regina Spector. I will admit it is a catchy little tune but, once you hear it over and over again at least 6 times in a day, it gets to be a bit annoying. The words are as follows:
Fidelity lyrics
(Shake it up)
I never loved nobody fully
Always one foot on the ground
And by protecting my heart truly
I got lost in the sounds
I hear in my mind All these voices
I hear in my mind all these words
I hear in my mind all this music
And it breaks my heart
And it breaks my heart
And it breaks my heart
It breaks my heart
And suppose I never met you
Suppose we never fell in love
Suppose I never ever let you kiss me
so sweet and so soft
Suppose I never ever saw you
Suppose we never ever called
Suppose I kept on singing love songs
Just to break my own fall
Just to break my fall
Just to break my fall
Break my fall Break
my fall
All my friends say that of course its gonna get better
Gonna get better
Better
better
better
better
Better
better
better
I never love nobody fully
Always one foot on the ground
And by protecting my heart truly
I got lost In the sounds
I hear in my mind All these voices
I hear in my mind all these words
I hear in my mind
All this music
And it breaks my heart
It breaks my heart Breaks
my Heart
Breaks my heart
As you can see obviously it isn't a kids song. Regina sings the word heart differently in the song. She sings ha ha ha ha ha ha ha heart- Addison loves this part, hence why she calls the song "Heart". I know kids love repetition and the fact that this songs says heart over and over again makes it very appealing to her little ears. It is funny, when the song comes on she does this hand movement. She does it on cue every time the song comes on. First thing in morning and several times throughout the day she asks for "heart". And although it breaks my heart to listen to it again.... I can't tell that little girl no. After all if you ask my parents if I was like this too, they would tell you I watched "Annie" and "Wizard Of Oz" every single day. We all could recite the words to both movies. Addison is so much fun even if she is a creature of habit!
