Didn't your mom teach you to come in out of the rain?

Well despite the thunder and few sprinkles Kevin, Addison and I headed out for our new family routine walk. We have been walking all over the place lately. We walked up to Westport Village on Sunday for lunch. It was a pretty good little walk but, so nice that the sidewalk goes all the way there.
Well, last night we made it pretty far from the house and all of the sudden the sky let out a major pour. Addison was laughing and singing rain rain go away. Kevin and I were running so fast all the way home. By the time we got there we were all soaked. Nothing like getting caught in the rain. Addison said, "we should have an umbrella." Now, if only Mommy and Daddy had thought of that we wouldn't have been soaked. It was fun, wet but , fun.

Auntie Heather and Aidan Come to Visit

So visits with Heather and Aidan have always been pretty few and far between. I saddens me that I don't really get to spend much time with either of them. I guess that is just part of living across the US. When we do get to visit we try and make the most of our time together. We had a chili dinner on Wednesday with them. It was awesome to see how well Aidan and Addison played together. They got along so well. Aidan kept hugging and kissing Addison. Addison was mocking everything that Aidan did. She absolutely loved having someone to play with. They watched movies together, listened to stories, ran around the house, bounced ball shared cars. Aidan is very good at sharing. It was nice getting to spend some time talking the Heather and asking her about her pregnancy. She is 8 months pregnant with a little girl. She decided on the name Isla. I really like the name and think Aidan and Isla sound like perfect brother and sister names. I can't believe that Aidan will be a great help to Heather and a wonderful big brother. He was very helpful to me with Addison. He even helped my give her a bath.
On Thursday Mom, Heather, Aidan , Addison and I went to KaZoning. Aidan loves to jump and I couldn't think of a better jumping place, plus I love that the adults are allowed on the inflatables. When we arrived ans signed in I noticed that my sister-in-law Dana and nephew's Hayden and Landon were there. Such a coincidence. Of course Addison loved that Hayden was there too. She had a great time running around and playing with everyone. Aidan and Addison really enjoyed sliding with Grammy.
After playing we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch. Heather was amazed at how busy and hospitable they are there. You just don't get that king of service everywhere. I must say I love the food but the worker make the restaurant. During lunch Addison was not wanting to eat (surprise surprise) and I told her she needed to act right, Aidan said "I'm being perfect.' It was so cute and he was right he was being perfect, he ate good and sat there like a good boy.
We really enjoyed our visit with Heather and Aidan. The plans are in the works for them to return the day after Addison's birthday with new baby Isla for six whole weeks. What a wonderful opportunity to spend the holidays with them and bond with Isla my niece. Needless to say we are so excited! What a great visit just makes me wish we could visit more. So glad Addison and Aidan had a great time together. When we were saying good-bye Addison said, Goodbye Aidan I love you so much. and kissed him on the lips." My heart melted. It was hard to see them go but sure was fun while it lasted.
