So I guess I haven't officially posted about our house yet since we have been so busy getting it ready for us. Two weeks ago Friday we got our house. Boy, were we ready! We put a bid on it over two months ago. Since, the situation was unique the whole deal had to go to court and a judge had to accept our bid. My stomach has been in knots for two months as to whether or not we were gonna actually get this house. I didn't feel relieved until we had signed the papers and the key was in our hand. We went straight over to the house with a change of clothes in the car and a trunk full of cleaning supplies. Kevin took a week off from work so we could do nothing but focus on the house. It was been very stressful. Not even three hours into home ownership, Kevin's Dad fell off a chair painting a room. He broke his shoulder and had to have surgery. It makes me extremely sad that it happened more so that it had to happened to Paul. He has had some tough luck over the years. I honestly had no idea he was even standing on a chair. If I had known, you better believe I would have made him stand on solid ground. When I left he was painting a closet standing on the ground. I guess I can't control every situation but, sometimes you just wish if you could go back maybe things could be different. I'm just thankful that he is doing good and didn't hit his head.
It has been a true test getting the house, and trying to get it ready with little help and trying to watch and entertain Addison. We have been lucky because we have had some help from family and friends but everyone has lives and has things to do. I know we will get it done. It is just taking longer then I had hoped. Addison's room is finished, our bedroom is painted just needs floor, the living room has been painted and needs flooring. Little by little we are chugging along. I'm thankful that Addison has actually been asking to go over to the new house. At first, she wanted nothing to do with it and would cry and say it was the stinky house. Each day she says I wan't to go to my new house. I know we will be happy there. Hopefully when things calm down we can think about adding on to our family. We have big plans for our house and with love and patience it will get there.

A Great Day For A Splash
Addi and I spent the afternoon at Donna and Rob's pool with our friend Laurel and her kids Grayson and Josie. The kids had fun splashing around in both the kiddie pool and in the big pool. We enjoyed a yummy lunch under the shaded deck Boy was it a hot day. Poor Josie burnt her little piggies on the deck because it was so hot.Laurel didn't bring Josie any shoes but had a pair of socks in her bag. Josie spent the rest of the day swimming in socks. Now that is what I call swim socks! You just never know what may happen when kids are around. You can always bet there there will be a good chuckle to be had. Laurel had told me that she let Grayson pee outside recently. He is a boy and it is just an easy way to go when you are outside. A few moments later Grayson had his pants around his ankles and was ready to pee. He went up on the deck and peed on the rug. The whole time Laurel is telling him "Don't Pee on the Rug". She was so apologetic about it and all I could do is laugh. Somehow I don't think it was the first time the rug had been peed on. We sprayed it off and went back to having fun. Addison did a great job swimming around in the pool with nothing but swimmers on. She floated on her back and loved for me to sing and play with her.
It was a great day with great friends. The whole way home Addison kept asking for Grayson and Josie. I'm glad she has such great friends to play with. I'm sure swimming over at Donna and Rob's will become a much more frequent thing since we will be living across the street from them. We love being over there it already feels like home. Can't wait to create fun memories with our new neighbors in our new house. We have been blessed beyond belief.
