Gotta Get Creative

I am not an empty promise maker. If I tell Addison we are going to go some place or do something I make it a mission to follow through. Since our lives have been turned upside down a time and again we haven't gotten to do very many fun things. Addison and I love to do art and have always made it a priority well as of lately that priority has been on the back burner. Well, I promised her that we would paint which is by far her most favorite art to do. Well unbeknown to me my art cart was wedged in the garage and I absolutely could not get to it. Addison is patiently waiting to paint and keeps reminding me how very badly she wants to paint. I had to really put on my thinking cap and come up with a plan "B". I knew she wasn't going for sorry Addison my art cart is pined in the garage and I can't get it. So I decided food dye and q-tips would make the perfect paint and paint brushes. We even used old contact cases to hold the food coloring. Addison had a great time making picture after picture with her q-tips, food coloring all neatly contained in contact cases. I love it when you have to really think on your feet and it actually works out. She was happy as a clam and painted some very pretty pictures for her Daddy. I love refrigerator art. Nothing makes you feel more settled in home then being surrounded by beautiful artwork made by the sweetest little artist I know.
