An Easter Story Told In July

I never got to blog about Easter. We went to Southeast for the Easter service this year. I even dressed up in heels at Nine Months pregnant. I know, what was I thinking. Luckily I packed another pair of shoes because immediately my swollen feet began to have the blood supply cut off. Easter is a joyous time and a sad time for me. It is really hard for me to think about all Jesus Christ had to endure for us. I have watched the movie Passion. I cried out loud at the theatre at the cruel and brutal punishment he endured. I was not embarrassed. I love Jesus Christ and respect him fully. I love hearing that he is alive and has risen again. For me Easter isn't about bunnies, and chocolate, and toys. It was as a child as I'm sure it will be for Addison until she is old enough to understand the true meaning of Easter.
On Easter morning, Addison followed a trail of bunny eggs through the house to a Easter basket Mr. Bunny had left her. She didn't like the big mall bunny not because she was afraid of him but, because she prefers tiny things so that was the bunny that visited our house. She really wanted pocket puppies and a La La Loopsy Doll. To her surprise Mr. Bunny gave her both. She was delighted. We went to Grammy and Poppy's house where the Easter Bunny had left another basket. We visited and had breakfast. After Breakfast we went home for a nap and then to De De and Paul's for Easter Dinner with the family. Addison was super excited to see her cousins.
The Easter Bunny left clues for Hayden and Addison to follow for a special surprise. After a wonderful Easter dinner the kids all went to search for eggs. It was cute watching the kids scurrying about finding eggs. It was a wonderful day with family. Addison , Hayden, and Landon ended the night with a cousin bath and a final glimpse of television. We ended the night with hugs and good byes and drove home for bed. I remember feeling very loved and very lucky.
