I have many blogs that I love and follow closely. One of my favorite blogs that I stumbled across a few years ago was louisvillefamilyfunblogspot.com . I love this blog because they basically tell what is going on in louisville for kids. They do reviews of places and sponsor contests. I have entered a few of the contest never winning any but it is just a really neat site. I love learning about new places to take the kids. In a recent post they reviewed a new park. Beckley Park is a new park that they have built here in Louisville.
I was supposed to go with my friend Laurel and her kiddos but, she had heard you have to get there super early and on the day we were suppose to go that was possible for us. Kevin , Addison, Mason, and I decided to check it out last Tuesday evening. Of course on the way there it began raining. By the time we had gotten there the rain had subsided. The park was very unique but reminded me of the park in Norton Commons. I think it was designed more for older children with better upper body strength. Addison enjoyed herself but mostly played it safe on the swings. She did however take a few runs through the sprinklers. Mason rode on the swing with Mommy nearby and we rocked on this huge circular shaky thing (and yes that is a very technical name for it :) )
It was a neat concept but I think it is for older kids.
When the park is completed it is 2015 it is suppose to be ten times big then Cherokee Park and five time bigger then Central Park in New York. There is suppose to be hiking trails, horse back riding trails, and cannoning. Sounds pretty neat. I'm glad that we went during the evening seems like that it the best time to go. We had a good time but it isn't anywhere we will be frequenting often maybe when Addison is older and like I stated before it is very similar to Norton Commons.
