So after contemplating on what type of lesson to take this year we I settled on music class. I really was leaning toward swim lessons but I think that Addison is still too young. I think she will get more out of that at age three. I had seen a class called Heartland Music online last winter and kept meaning to take Addison to a free demo class but, never made it. I met with the teacher Mrs. Mariam at the Cherokee Triangle Art Festival and really like her philosophy on learning and teaching. It sounded like something that Addison would love and something that I would really enjoy also. We both love music and it is important for me that we surround ourselves with music. When I'm singing or dancing that is when I feel happiest.
As it just so happened a free demo class was today. Emily and Avery were in town so we asked them to join us. I wish I could have recorded Avery. He had a complete blast. He was smiling and playing the drums, the shakers, and waving a scarf in the air. He was the youngest but that didn't stop him. He really enjoyed watching everyone and hearing the fun songs.
Addison loved the interaction in class. We danced, sang, played instruments, and just had FUN. I feel like life has been so darn crazy lately. We are always on the move and it was nice to enjoy ourselves and not worry about anything else then having a good time. We immediately signed up for the class once the session was over. I can't wait for our first class. It's also a good way to make new Mommy friends and other kid friends for Addison. We have been listening to our class CD's all day, trying to learn new songs. If anyone would like to try out a free demo class on Tuesdays at ten let me know. We would love to share this class with anyone and everyone. I look forward to spending some special time with Addison making musical memories.
