De De's Birthday is a Day at the Park

We had the best day last Sunday at Butler Park in Carrolton KY. We went to celebrate Deanna's birthday as a family. It is kinda a half way point for Keith and Emily and All of us to meet. We got food from KFC and enjoyed a lovely lunch at the park. The kids couldn't wait to tackle the playground. Paw Paw was brave and took them both over and played with them while everyone else finished up lunch. After lunch we all sat around talking about whatever came up and watching the kids play. Avery and Landon had fun playing with a Lego table. They really had a blast touching, pulling, tasting, and slobbering on the table. I love watching those two. I'm always wondering what they are thinking about in those tiny little minds. Avery really enjoyed swinging with his older cousins. Landon took a snooze but Avery was avoiding it until he finally fell asleep right before it was time to go. The weather couldn't have been better. Jeff and Dana brought a delicious blueberry pie from the Home made Pie Kitchen. It was so yummy. It is times like these that I ask myself why don't we do this more often. We all really enjoyed ourselves. I was so glad that Skinny Grandpa (as Keith and Kevin called him) Harold came with us. I hope Deanna had a great birthday. We love her very much and are so thankful to have her in our lives. We most definitely need to have this be a family tradition.
