Last Tuesday we went to the Zoo with De De, Aunt Dana, Hayden, Kayla and Dianna. We had a great time. Our first stop was the water park. Addison and Hayden are both water bugs. They had a blast splishing and splashing in the water. I was laughing so hard at Addison she kept getting water squirted in her face.
We had such a nice time looking at all of the animals. Hayden absolutely loves Monkeys. He was super excited to see the Monkeys. We saw a gorilla eat a paper lunch bag-yuck. Another gorilla was eating cheerios. It was cute watching him pick up the tiny o's and eat them. It is funny how similar we are to apes. I enjoyed seeing all the animals especially the baby animals. The baby giraffe was outside. He had to have surgery on his legs because when he was born he couldn't walk. Addison liked seeing the animals but it is hard for children in strollers to see over the fences they have around the animals and if you take the kids out of the stroller good luck getting them back in. When it was time to leave we visited the gift shop and Addison got a baby turtle stuffed animal. In the car on the way home we were trying to think of a good name for him and she decided on Poppie turtle. When we got home she Pooh and Poppie turtle fell fast asleep. She was all tuckered out from the day playing in the water, watching the animals, and hanging with family. Thanks to Dana, Hayden, and De De for sharing their membership and taking us to the zoo for free. We had a great time and look forward to going again soon!
