So I'm going to Ket ch up on the past two weeks. Addison got her very first and hopefully last ear infection. She was prescribed my very favorite medicine - yep that's right BUBBLE GUM- I remember sneaking an extra swig of the stuff when I was sick. Even as a teen the doctor would ask me liquid or pills - I always wanted the liquid! They really shouldn't make medicine taste so good. Addison finished her medicine in a week and was good as new. She has been teething for the last month is seems like. She has some jaw teeth, two upper teeth and two lowers. All four back gums are swollen as we speak. Poor thing! We skipped gym two weeks ago and returned last Wednesday. De De came to watch Addison at gym. Last week was her Dr. Seuss week and all of the equipment was setup to mimic the Dr. Seuss books- It was super cute
Kevin, Keith and Dana all celebrated their birthday on April 4 which was also my Nana's birthday. Unfortunately, Addison and I didn't get to attend their birthday dinner because Addison was sick so we stayed home and rested.
Last Monday Hillary and John finally got to sign on their house and move in. Hillary being the much braver and easy going cousin decided to take on a surprise party for my Paw Paw who was turning 80. They had 5 1/2 days to move in, paint, clean, get the carpets cleaned, unpack and have a Surprise party for our Pop and 50 other guests. Not to mention they both worked full time and Hill is in nursing school. Do you think they are crazy? I do! Kevin, Addison , and I spent all week helping them with whatever and as much as we could. I know that they totally would do the same for us. Kevin did an amazing job on their pool. The house was a foreclosure and the people who lived there before obviously didn't know how to paint or clean. The pool was a wreck and now it looks awesome! We can't wait to swim this summer.
On Sunday the day of the party everyone arrived on time and Hillary successfully got Pop back to the house, where he was pleasantly surprised. We all chipped in an got him a 42' Flat Screen (to replace the Dinosaur he had in the living room) a surround sound system and a nice table to put it on. He was overwhelmed with joy. He shed some tears and so did the rest of us. My Paw Paw is the world's greatest guy.
So as a reward to our hard working selves and for Hillary's B-day, which happens to be the same day as Pops, which Hill says most of the family doesn't know, She and I went and got manicures and pedicures. I could seriously get used to that! I also got my uni brow waxed- I now have pencil thin brows, which I hate and will not be repeating anytime soon. I now have strawberry Margarita pink nails and toes. So cute and so relaxing! Ummm what else?? Addison will try and say pretty much anything you ask her to say. She said Hillary, Mary, Andy, and Kurt perfectly. Everything is going great. I couldn't feel more blessed. We have a lot of exciting things coming in the future. We look forward to the next year and all the changes to come!
