"No Momma"

So Deanna, Addison, Hayden and I went swimming last Thursday at Aunt Donna and Robs house. It was a nice, relaxing change from all the craziness that has been going on around here lately. I bought Addison this body suit that has flotation devices built into the suit to help hold her up in the pool. I also purchased some DORA swimmies for her arms, that she flipped her lid over. Geez does this kid LOVE dora- I think she likes her more then me. Anyway, I put them both on and took her into the pool. She immediately pushed me away and said, "No Momma". Stab me in the heart why don't you! She didn't want or need my help to swim. At first I was afraid to let go but, when she persistently pushed me away I let her go. Sure enough she began swimming around on her own. Oh trust me, I was in arms length to catch her. Can you believe she already doesn't want me to help her? I guess it is just her way of gaining Independence but, my gosh. It seems like I can't do anything for her any more. I remember the days where I thought it would be nice when she became a little more independent but, golly she is acting like she can move out and get a job on her own. Maybe it is just time for another baby.... nahhhh maybe not!
That topic will be up for discussion soon enough. Addison loves babies. She loves it when we hear and see babies at the store. She mocks their cries, kisses pictures of babies in books, pampers and cuddles her dolly babies. I asked her if she wants mommy to have a baby and she said , "yes please". She is going to be pleasantly surprised when her aunt Emily and Dana have their babies in December. It will be nice to have sweet little babies to love and kiss. We are counting the weeks. Hang in there Emily and Dana your sweet bundles will be here soon. Addison and Hayden will be a great diaper fetchers for you.
We had a great time at the pool with Hayden and Deanna. Hayden was so funny. He kept trying to put on Addison girly size 4 sandal. It was so cute to watch him try to cram his obviously to big boy foot into this daintiy flowery shoe. Uncle Jeff would have loved to see this! The kids shared a snack, a dip in the pool, some splashes, and it was time for home. We enjoyed spending time with you both and need to make these visits more frequent. We need to splash a few more times before they close down the pool.
