I feel like we have been going non stop lately. I'm not complaining by any means, just saying we have been busy. On Tuesday Dana, Hayden. Addison and I finally got to go to All About Kids. We had a very great time. Addison was a little temperamental but, with five new teeth four of which being molars, can you really blame the kid? She enjoyed seeing Aunt Dana and cousin Hayden. We played on the inflatables, the mates, the slides, in the balls , and pretty much covered every inch of that place!About mid way through the kids need to reful with some lunch. They devoured their grilled cheese and oranges. We had a rainy, fun, yummy day! Thanks Dana and Hayden for the invite. I'm glad we finally got to go to AAK together. I feel like all my blogs have been an advertisement for All About Kids. I promise we do other things besides gymnastics and playing tat AAK with friends and family.
So what is new with miss thing? She is obsessed with babies. She calls herself a baby. I have no problem with that because she will always be my baby! She has this naked little baby doll that I got at the Goodwill for fifty cents. It is the cutest little baby. The ideas behind it was to be a bath time baby. One day I left Kevin in charge of Addison's bath and ever since the child is afraid of having her hair washed. I have no idea how he tried to wash her hair but, she hasn't been the same since. I got the baby so she could wash the baby and help her get over this bath time funk she has been in. It has been a few weeks since the horrible hair washing bath and she is doing much better. I have to kinda talk her through it but the baby has worked. She likes the baby for more then bath time fun. She is constantly carrying around this naked little baby. She is like a miniature mommy. She feeds her baby, kisses, pats, and loves her baby.
Addison's new favorite words are poo poo and pee pee. Besides babies she loves to talk about poo poo and pee pee. Oh joy! I asked her what she wanted for breakfast the other day my answer, poo poo. Sound appetizing huh? I told her that we were fresh out of that for breakfast what else would she like. Guess what her second choice was? Yeah you guessed it - pee pee. Where does she come up with this stuff? I have been trying to tell her if she uses those words then we need to go sit on the potty and her answer to that is "no". I get nervous to take her out in public for fear of what she might say. I never know what is going to come out of that little mouth.
Reading is one of Addison's new favorite past times. She loves the book Ten Apples Up on Top. I practically have it memorized because Zach the little boy I used to babysit also loved the book. Whenever I finish reading it Addison signs and says "more" so I will read it again. She says more for anything that she would like to do again. She is like a little sponge these days. She tries to imitate things that I do and say. She is also really starting to express her opinion about things she wants and doesn't want. I asked her if she wanted to take a bath last night and she point blank told me so matter of fact "no". The tantrums have become more frequent here lately too. I have just been trying to pick and choose my battles. I have been reading up on toddlers and this is yet another sign that our little one is growing and developing accordingly.
