Fall Festival
We had a great time visiting my old school last Friday. Every year about this time they have a family fall festival. Each year is get better and better. It was bitter sweet seeing how big all my used to be two year olds are. They are now four and some almost ready for Kindergarten. I can't believe how much time flies. I mean heck Addison is getting ready to turn two. Where did the last two years go? Addison played skee ball, an all time favorite of mine, and won some maracas. We visited with some of the teachers I used to teach with. Addison and I did a cake walk together. We didn't win but it was fun dancing around the circle. We went to make a cookie but one of my old kids gave Addison a cookie she had decorated. It was very generous of her to share with Addison. Addison loved watching Holly paint faces. She waited and watched each child get their face painted until it was her turn. I didn't think she would sit still and let Holly paint her face. T o my surprise she sat there perfectly until Dora (surprise surprise) was successfully painted on her face. Then when Holly was all done, Addison smeared it all over her cheek. Another first was cotton candy. Brian gave Addison a taste and that was that, love at first taste. Thankfully Mrs. Emily gave Addison the rest of her cotton candy. It was a fun family night. It made me miss my old job but, my new job beats any job by far!
