A few weeks ago all the Kuhn Cousin's headed to the Zoo for some trick-or-treating. Addison was dressed as Dorthy from the wizard of Oz, Hayden was Donald Duck, Avery was a Skunk and Landon a Chicken. They all looked so adorable. We walked through the Zoo gathering treats from the designated treat spots. We saw lots of Storybook Characters none of which frightened Addison in the least. We haven't met a character of mask that has frightened her yet. She cheerily posed with the characters for photos. Just so happens they had a Wizard of Oz characters, a yellow brick road, and the emerald castle. Addison followed the yellow brick road looking more like a munchkin then Dorthy.
Addison had to taste each treat she got. If I dared to say no a fit would arise. Sometimes it is just easier to pick my battles with her. In all honesty, she as been winning more and more since I have become pregnant. I just don't have the energy or patience to deal with it. I know, wonderful parenting skills but, hey you win some you loose some and I'm on the loosing end. We will see what she will get away with when the baby is actually here.
Hayden and Addison enjoyed collect their treats and looking at all the sights. Hayden liked shaking his tail feather inside the disco booth. Addison refused to dance, guess she had a shy moment which are few and far between.
Little Avery and Landon sat sweetly in their strollers people watching. Next year will be a different story all together. The two of them will be keeping up with Addison and Hayden.
After the Zoo we went to Gattiland and ate from their buffet. It always amazes me to watch Hayden, Landon and Avery eat. So nice to see kids actually enjoying different varieties of food. Addison has her select menu that she refuses to deviate from. After dinner we headed to Hillcrest Ave to enjoy the Halloween decorations. Not all the lights were turned on but, it was still fun experiencing it with Jeff, Dana, Hayden and Landon. Avery pooped out on us on the way there so they headed home. It was a busy long day for such little ones. We had a great time and hope to make this a tradition.
